In my webcam live sessions I often use the music of Alla Pavlova. She is my favorite composer. Her music is very emotional and contains all the necessary elements for any personally designed meditation.

The Russian composer Alla Pavlova has written a number of orchestral works, including six symphonies and the ballet “Sulamith” as well as other instrumental and vocal works that have been performed in the United States, Europe, and Canada.

She has produced several CD's :

1. Piano, Vocal, and Instrumental Music (1996)

National Public Radio said about this CD, “. . . in Pavlova's music you find a special quality of [the] Russian way of thinking. Let's say, it comes from the way of thinking found in Chekhov, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff.”

This CD is available only as a bonus when you buy a whole set of Alla Pavlova's CDs.

2. Symphony No. 2, “The Old New York Nostalgia” (Suite), Elegy for Piano and String Orchestra.

Albany Records, TROY397, (2000).
International Symphony Orchestra “Globalis,” Konstantin Krimets. Yaroslav Krasnikov, solo violin. Peter Izotov, piano.

The next four CDs were produced by NAXOS:

“21st Century Classics” 8.557157; 8.557566; 8.557674; 8.570369.

The CDs were aired many times on different classical radio stations worldwide and have many reviews.

3. Symphonies No. 1 and No. 3. Russian Philharmonia Orchestra.
Konstantin Krimets (Symphony No. 1), conductor.
Alexander Vedernikov (Symphony No. 3), conductor, 2003.

“I found myself listening again and again (Symphony No. 1) to see if I could crack the mystery of the piece, always in vain but always drawn back by the lyrical beauty of its melodic and contrapuntal line. The Symphony demonstrates beyond doubt a rare compositional talent.”
Matthew Shorter, BBC.

“This CD presents some of the most interesting contemporary Russian music I have heard in some time.”
John Sunier, Audiophile Audition

“This music . . . an undeniable balm for tired minds and bruised ears . . .”
Raymond Tuttle, Classical reviews on amazon.com
